+ -1 moreWe hired Action for our Kitchen remodel in 2020. Given the high demand for services at the time, the techs from Action were generally prompt, on-time, and knowledgeable. I also fell that Action was fairly priced given the scope of work we laid out for them. That said, we ended up with mismatched switches on our wall and completely mis-labeled breaker panel, even after they relabeled the panel upon my request. Lastly, we paid them to run a line and install a blank box for a future hot tub. I recently found that line was left cut about 5 feet from the blank box in our crawl space and not run to the breaker panel.
Description of Work: Remodel of kitchen with various electrical work to be done.

Did his job quickly and efficiently, though very stand offish and abrupt throughout. Called later twice to try and get questions answered about the bid and possibly schedule more work. Never got a return call.
Description of Work: Replaced a 15 amp with 20 amp GFI, installed a motion light fixture outside of the house and provided an estimate for two other jobs.

I am impressed with the quality of workmanship after seeing the final product on what was done with the electrical circuitry. I would use them once again for any future projects at the house without any hesitation.
Description of Work: Checked power in house. Repaired wiring, installed GFI receptacles. Upgraded water heater wiring. Installed 50 amp outlet and cord cap for stove.

+ -1 moreThis is an F because we couldn't even get out of the starting gate to arrange for service. When I called on Friday, I never expected same-day service. If I had been home, that would have been great. I work full-time so I was calling to and quot;scheduleand quot; service. I did what the Office told me to do - wait for a call. This was way too much run-around right at the beginning to ever expect the rest of the service would go well.
Description of Work: I called Action Electric on a Friday to schedule a repair. I was told that a service person would call me to schedule. At 3:00PM that same day, a service person called to say he was in the area and ask if I was home. I was not and would not be until 5:30PM. So I asked if he could make it Monday. His response was that he was not a Scheduler and could not do that. He told me I would have to call the office back to re-schedule. I already had no intention to do so. Then on Monday around 12:30PM, I received a call from the Office asking "how it went". I said "confusing" and told her the story. She asked if I wanted to "re-schedule". That's funny because nothing ever WAS scheduled. I said no and she simply confirmed that I wanted to cancel the service request.

+ -1 moreAction Electric is by far the best electrical company we have found to date in any city we have lived. We've had a number of experiences with electricians working with different companies in the past. These guys are the best!!
Description of Work: We are new to Reno and our home has required extensive electrical modifications to convert two bedrooms to home offices. Previously we identified an electrical company after calling several in the phone book. That was a big disappointment because that company charged outrageous prices and was very erratic in showing up to do the work. Out of desperation we joined Angie's list for the first time last month and telephoned most of the local electrical companies listed there. We settled on Action Electric and scheduled an appointment. We had a total of 8 projects involving installation of fluorescent lights above cabinets in two home offices, a central office area, above kitchen cabinets and new installs of lights inside four closets. On the day of our appointment the electrician arrived on time. He listened to our laundry list of projects, made suggestions, offered explanations of pros and cons of various options and helped us decide all the details so that our installs would be optimal. Then he went to work. In 10 hours this man was able to finish what another company estimated would have taken 3-4 days. He was friendly, personable, professional and efficient. He protected our hardwood floors with drop cloths and cleaned up after completing each project and moving on to the next. Electrical work is not cheap but in this case we feel that we saved quite a lot of money having a skilled professional do the work because the job(s) were done so quickly. Using a fully licensed, insured experienced electrician is the only way to go in our opinion and Action Electric proved itself to be a top notch company. We wish we had identified them earlier but from now on we will use them for any electrical projects we need in the future.

Description of Work: Justin Baldwin of Action Electric responded in a timely manner and made an extra effort to come the many miles to my rural address in No. Nevada. He was not able to provide the service I requested as his local crew handled commercial, large scale, projects connected with a coal operated power plant. I was impressed that Justin made the effort to come by and address my requests. I would not hesitate to contact this firm in the future and am hopeful that Justin and Action Electric consider opening a local Electricall Contracting service.

Had to do wome rewiring after a tenant decided to do what he thought was a wiring fix but just messed everything up because he did not know anything about electrical or wiring. Did the work in a good time frame. Everything passed inspection when they were done. I don't remember the cost, but I remember it was reasonable. I plan to use them to fix a wiring issue I found on my personal residence. Would recommend them to others.
