High Desert Landscape & Design

Not one of the workers spoke English and there was no one to talk to at the office. They butchered our Mesquite tree.
Last time we used this company we were happy, this time it was a nightmare.
I am sure that they will be able to communicate with us when they want to get paid.

High Desert Landscape & Design recently completed a total renovation of our front yard, and two years ago, did the same in our backyard. In those two projects, we invited no less than five potential contractors to provide estimates each time. The experiences ran the gamut from leaving us feeling they weren't really interested to someone like Tony at High Desert, who immediately became totally engaged in making our ideas come to life- even if it's not exactly what he might have in mind- and he has some terrific ideas and the people to get it done. All a very professional, knowledgeable, and highly experienced. Never left the place a mess at the end of a work day- sweeping, picking up and organizing their tools and materials, placing safety cones in appropriate areas, we had a lot going on in a relatively small yard. Not once has either myself nor my wife ever questioned our decisions to use High Desert Landscape and Design- we love our yards!!

I converted our front yard to desert landscaping. I called and Tony came out the following day and we discussed what I wanted and he also suggested what his vision was. We worked together and he presented his plans and with a couple minor changes, we agreed. They started the following week and were done in 4 days. I converted over 1200 sq. ft. of lawn, three palm trees, very large bushes and grass. They accomplished taking all of it out the first day.

His crews were very good. They were respectful, happy to help and cleaned up every evening. Can't say enough about them.

I am very happy with the outcome and would highly recommend them.

Tony and his team are absolutely the best. They work within our budget and my yard is incredibly beautiful in fact it's the most beautiful on the street. They've been so helpful they come out every year and do a maintenance and a trim and I just think they're the best

We received a few bids before finally deciding on High Desert Landscape & Design and we're glad we did! Their estimator-supervisor, Jesus, came out a few times to go over the original estimate, select rock & turf, and to view the yard before work began to make sure we were ready after I did some initial prep work. I appreciated him coming to the site once the work began to confirm rock & turf samples. This made a huge difference in the final product because we could actually see which type of rock would bring beautiful colors to our backyard. He made sure the turf in our backyard was seamless adding to quality to the work their crew had done. Soltero, their crew chief, took the time to answer my questions and go over important aspects through the project. Soltero's attention to detail ensured a high quality installation throughout each phase of the project. Landscape design and installation often encounters questions and challenges. Any adjustments or questions which required company approval were answered quickly and very, very reasonably. I am glad we chose High Desert Landscape & Design and would gladly recommend this company for your residential needs.

After getting 6 estimates I finally decided to go with High Desert Landscape & Design. They were not the lowest or the highest bid, but we came to an agreement and met our budget. I am glad I choose High Desert Landscape & Design; their work is excellent. Of course, we needed HOA's approval, so we were provided a computer generated digital representation to submit.

Jesus, the Field Supervisor came out and we discussed what we were looking for. Jesus is truly knowledgeable and respectful of our goals. We ended up using a few of his suggestions, which turned out beautiful. A real man of his word. Jesus kept the job at the agreed upon price and the work exactly as I wanted it. We made a few changes as we went, without a hitch.

Soerro, the crew leader and his crew were fantastic! There were anywhere from four to seven guys working on the landscape, irrigation, lighting, placing boulders, building a knee wall and the planting of trees and plants. The crew was friendly, professional, fast, cleaned up after every day's work and also were mask friendly. Any and everything I asked of them, was done without any hesitation. Even when I thought they forgot about something, it was done before I was able to remind anyone.

Without any hesitation, I would recommend High Desert Landscape & Design. Value for work performed was outstanding. If I should need any more landscape work done, I can assure you that I will call them. You should too!!

It took over a month to get a quote, and that is after I just demanded they email it to me. Two different meetings set up for them to come by and "discuss" the quote, and Tony never showed. I should have read the other reviews, it seems this is a pattern.

Take your website down if you don't want to do business, or if you do, hire someone that can communicate with your clients.

I will go elsewhere.

First, I'm a Civil Engineer and I'm picky, opinionated, and have very high standards. High Desert is absolutely one of the best contractors I've ever worked with.

Tony is talented and has great knowledge of his industry, but he's the owner so he's not on site all day when work is being done. He relies on his staff - who are on-site all day - to take care of the vast majority of the details. This is the point at which a business either fails to deliver (usually the case) or fully delivers. Tony's staff, specifically the lead ace named Jesus, exceeded all expectations as he's a good communicator, he's passionate about his designs, and he's a good leader. The crew as a whole were punctual, very polite and respectful of both people and property, efficient and hard-working, knowledgeable of the work they were doing, and they were extremely clean (again, I am very picky... I didn't see one stray wrapper or piece of scrap lying around anywhere, and I can confidently say it was the cleanest, most well-kept project site I have ever been around).

The final product is better than I hoped it would be and the price was fair. I look forward to working with these guys in the future when I need maintenance!

What a disappointment. I contacted them for an estimate and they did come out for measurements. That was the last time anyone came out. I called repeatedly for the estimate, only to be told after a few days 'there're working on it', which translates into 'F___ off', and never heard back. Pretty competitive out there, so unless your talking acres to work with, pass on them.

The HOA at Canyon Willow Pecos hired High Desert to put in desert landscaping last year. They did a beautiful job of putting in the rock, flowers and shrubs. I am a homeowner and pleased with the work they did.
